Program :

- In the morning departure to Plovdiv. Visit the splendid Bachkovo Monastery), the second largest in Bulgaria, situated 25 km from Plovdiv. The refectory is a real treasure with its frescoes dating to 1623.

- Continue to Plovdiv.

- Lunch in traditional Bulgarian restaurant.

- Tour of Plovdiv, declared an architectural museum reserve with over 150 monuments of culture. Its magnificent houses are turned into museums, galleries, workshops, restaurants. There are also parlors and studios of painters and wood-carvers. Visit the Ancient Roman Amphitheater (2nd century A.C), the Roman Stadium, original Roman mosaics "in situ" and many other extremely valuable sites.

- Departure to Sofia. Arrival and drop off at your hotel around 7 pm.

- Visit the Oslekov's House, Kableskov’s house and the house of the most romantic Bulgarian writer Dimtcho Debelyanov. Have a walk on cobblestone streets, winding between high white stone walls and gardens full of greenery.

- Lunch in a restaurants with traditional local dishes.

- In the afternoon – departure to Sofia.

- Morning departure to Veliko Tarnovo - the medieval capital of Bulgaria - on of the most authentic towns in the country with more than 7000 years of history. The houses, stacked one above the other, situated on the slopy hills of the town show a remarkable, unique architectural style.

- Visit “Tsarevets” fortress, a mediaeval stronghold located on a hill with the same name. It served as the Second Bulgarian Empire's primary fortress and strongest bulwark from 1185 to 1393, housing the royal and the patriarchal palaces. 47 churches and 400 residential houses have been discovered in the whole complex.

- Departure to the village of Arbanassi, a charming village with an eventful history and fascinating architecture. Thirty six of its 80 houses and the five local churches have been declared national monuments of culture.

- Lunch in a traditional restaurant. Taste traditional Bulgarian food and local wine.

- Visit the church of Nativity with its extremely valuable frescoes dating to the 16^th century. By all means the church is called The Sistine Chapel on the Balkans.
